Barista Competition:

Do We have to bring our own ....?

i) coffee beans- NO -  :-)  Fish River Roasters are sponsoring the event and will provide beans.

ii) grinder - NO - Fish River Roasters are sponsoring the event and will provide a grinder for each section.

iii) Espresso Machines- NO - Fish River Roasters are sponsoring the event and will 2 x two post machines.

iv) cups, saucers, latte glasses - NO - Fish River Roasters are sponsoring the event and cups and glasses.

v) milk jugs and spoons - YES- please bring your own. Competitors will have access to  a sink and hot water near your Barista competition  to wash your equipment after you  have competed.

Please bring your own thermometres, milk, chocolate shakers, decoration tools, dish cloths and any other ingredients required .

Teams Competition

Do we have to have four in a team.?

YES - to keep the competition fair, all teams must have four competitors.

Do competitors have acces to power points for small appliances?

YES -  a water station will be set up on either side of the Auditorium with an URN and buckets of cold water.(Please bring a jug to dip out cold water to take back to your competition table.)

Organisers will have a four/six point power pack available on each side of the competition.

Do competitors have access to a Fridge and Freezer on the floor of the competition?

YES - A Family size fridge and an upright freezer will be available for competitors during the 40/45 minutes of competiton. At the end of each section all foods must be removed from the fridge and packed into competitors eskies and tubs.

Do Individual school competitors have to use a NSW chees variety in their entree?

YES - this is a stipulated ingredient. Please incorporate any cheese produced in NSW but you must use some type of cheese.

Do individual school competitors have to use a pear and an orange with the cheese?

NO. - Individuls may use either a pear OR an orange NOT both ingredients.
